Free software for word processing
OpenOffice is a program with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software that is free. Its files can be opened in Office programs and vice versa. We use it at school and suggest it for our students who do not have access to the Microsoft Office suites. You can find it at openoffice.org. Students without access to high speed Internet at home can request a CD with the program for download by contacting Mrs. Cassity.
