Jr. High News
September 09, 2010
School will be dismissed at 12:30 on Monday, September 13, for teacher in-service.
Five week progress reports will be handed out on Friday, September 17th. Instead of mailing them this year, we will send them home with students. Academic probation will start on Monday, September 20th, and will last one week. If a student had Ds and/or Fs on the progress report and are involved in a fall sport, they will need to do a grade check on Monday, September 27th, in order to be cleared. If at that time the student has a failing grade, they will be placed on probation for another week.
If you would be willing to help in the concession stand for home junior high football and/or volleyball games, please contact Mr. Matt.
The first junior high volleyball games will be held Tuesday, September 14th, at home against Mid-Buchanan. The 7th graders will play at 4:30 followed by the 8th graders.
The junior high and senior high teachers will be having parent/teacher conferences on two Wednesday nights the first quarter instead of one Wednesday night and one Thursday afternoon. The first night of conferences will be Wednesday, September 22nd, from 4:00-7:30 p.m. No appointments will be made. It will be first come first served basis. The second night of conferences will be Wednesday, October 27th. We hope this will work out so that if a student is having trouble at 5 weeks, we will be able to address the problem early so grades do not continue to drop. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 450-3350.
