The North Platte Junior High School is located in Dearborn, Missouri. The school serves approximately 120 students in grades 7-8. The students have been finalists in the State Math Competition four out of five years, and have received superior ratings the last four years at District Band contests.

Instructional
Technology:
The Junior High has a network computer in each classroom and two
computer labs of 20+ computers each. All students take
keyboarding in 7th grade and word processing in 8th grade. Other
technology includes INTERNET availability, a computer-generated
reporting system, and laser disc science and math technology.

Parental
Involvement:
Parental involvement is highly valued and strongly encouraged by
the Junior High school staff through orientations and handbooks, in
addition to frequent newsletters, progress reports, and
conferences. The Music Boosters and the Athletic
Boosters are active organizations which offer patrons the
opportunity to enhance the education of students in a variety of
ways.
