2010 Junior High Spelling Bee

North Platte Junior High students participated in the junior high spelling bee on Friday, January 15. The seventh grade spelling bee winner for 2010 was Shelby Paden and the eighth grade winner was Julie Sanders.
The top eight students from each grade earned the opportunity to proceed to the district level bee. The eight participants for the seventh grade are Chaz Verduzco, Maddie Stills, Blake Romaker, Jerry Copenhaver, Taylor Grove, Claire Everett and Robert O'Neill. The eighth graders are Sarah Percell, Maddie Offutt, Sami Johnson, Matt Johnson, Summer Collins, Levi Stillwell and Nakota Rodriquez. Alternates for the bee are Andrew Alexander, Bobbi Stalker, Abi Manville and Mitch Vernon.
The North Platte District Spelling Bee will take place on Tuesday, February 9, at 6:00 p.m. It will be located in the junior high gym. Good luck and congratulations to all the students.
