The 8th grade students at North Platte received a chance to show off their acting abilities when they performed a scene out of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. On February 18, students performed in the classroom for their fellow 8th grade peers. While performing, students were required to wear 1800s attire as well as memorize lines from the novel itself. During third quarter, students studied the famous Missouri author, Mark Twain, and his writing style. The students found it interesting how much the literature of the past can still apply to situations of today. Congratulations to all students on a job well done.
