NORTH PLATTE ACHIEVES DISTINCTION IN PERFORMANCE

North Platte is one of only thirty-two school districts in the state (total of 524 school districts) that have achieved the coveted Distinction in Performance each year over the past ten years (2001-2010). This year's results have just been made public, and North Platte is one of only eleven schools in the state to achieve the honor in each of the past eleven years.
The Distinction in Performance is what the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) uses to determine accreditation. There are fourteen areas that are evaluated annually and schools scoring thirteen or higher achieve the Distinction in Performance status.
This is only one reason why North Platte School District is a GREAT place to educate children, work, and raise a family. Congratulations to the staff and students for all their hard work!
