North Platte Wrestlers Qualify for State

Congratulations to North Platte wrestlers, Taylor Green and Mitch Adams. Last weekend, the boys qualified for the state wrestling meet in Columbia, Missouri. Mitch Adams, a 285 lb junior, placed 4th to qualify. He enters the state contest with a record of 33-6. In the first round, he'll face Brian Duncan, a junior from Herculnm with a record of 41-1. Taylor Green, a 160 lb senior, placed 3rd to make his way to Columbia. His record stands at 22-4 and he will face Pat McLaughlin from Whitfeld, with a record of 27-7. The boys will begin competing for the state title on Thursday, February 16th, under the direction of North Platte head coach, Daniel Atkinson. Good luck boys. North Platte is proud of you!
Update: Senior Taylor Green, 160 lb wrestler from North Platte Class 1, won two of his four matches at State, finishing the season with a record of 26-8. 285 lb Junior Mitch Adams, won one of his matches and finished the season 35-10. Congratulations on a great season!
