Our students had a great time today at the Arrive Alive event. This event is held annually together between North Platte and West Platte. This year the event was held in Dearborn. Students were given the opportunity to explore what happens during impaired driving and the consequences it can have. A huge thank you to all the vendors who came out, the Platte County Health department, Mrs. Justus, the many SRO's, Dearborn and Camden point Fire, NRAD, and countless others that came out to help educate our students.

Homecoming week sure was busy, but fun!

North Platte was proud to open the new turf field at last night's homecoming game! A ribbon cutting ceremony was held before the game to celebrate the opening of the new field. A huge thank you is due to the North Platte community for the passing or Proposition K.I.D.S. as well as Midwest Synthetic Turf Professionals for building this beautiful facility!

We had a fantastic homecoming day yesterday! Our students had a fun day with class competitions, volleyball, our parade, pep rally, and then all of our evening activities! Below are some photos from the day. We want to give special thanks to Nodaway Valley Bank for providing lunch, and the Army National Guard for helping to make the game memorable for our community with canon fire and a tunnel for the football team to run on to the field. Thanks to all who participated in helping make it a fun and memorable day for our students.

We had our first ever hot dog eating contest today during our high school lunch to kick off our 2026 Homecoming festivities! We had a representative from each grade level, along with Mr. Davis representing the staff to participate! Congratulations to CJ Spencer on winning the first ever competition at NP! Special thanks to Nodaway Valley Bank for sponsoring it, and providing the champions tee shirt!

The Missouri School Board Association recently held their Fall Regional Meeting at North Platte! The meeting addressed the challenges that lay ahead in school funding. Special recognition should go out to the North Platte School Board and custodial staff for organizing and decorating a first class meeting that hosted school boards from all over Northwest Missouri! A special thank you to Johnna Mae's as well as Sherri Ambler for helping cater the meal!

The North Platte School District is celebrating homecoming this week with the opening of new facilities! The turf field, track, concession stand, and new bathrooms will be in use this week for homecoming! The April passing of Proposition K.I.D.S. has allowed for the construction of these facilities as well as the installation of new roof and HVAC projects around North Platte campuses that are completed! A huge thank you is owed to Meridian Roofing, SGI, and AAIM for the completion of the Roof and HVAC projects around campus. A huge congratulations is also owed to Midwestern Synthetic Turf Professionals, King City Lumber, and Panther Electric for their work in with the turf field, track, and concession stand. Some finishing touches will still be needed in the next week or two on the track including the striping of lanes and numbers on the track. However, the surfaces of both the field and track are ready to be used this week for homecoming! Attached in this message is a photo of some rules we need all students, staff, and community members to follow in using the turf and track. They include: no sharp objects, no food items, no pets, no vehicles or bicycles, no sunflower seeds, and athletic shoes or molded cleats only. Help us in maintaining this new facility. All North Platte alumni will get in free to North Platte home activities this week by presenting their letter jacket at the gate. Come join us Friday for all the homecoming festivities as we celebrate, together!

NPE and NPI students have been working hard this past week. Remember, this week is Homecoming. We will have dress up days all week and attend the parade on Friday!

Our JH had a Pep Rally today to celebrate the start of a great school year, along with the start of all of our JH fall sport seasons! Congratulations to our 8th grade for winning our ping pong ball challenge with Mrs. Burgess, Coach Atteberry, and Mrs. Colburn!

It was an amazing first week for NPE and NPI kids! We had everything from fun getting to know you activities, to reading and math, to our first weekly shout outs. Here is a peek at some of the great things happening at NP!

We had a fun and full night on the NP campus tonight! Seniors painting their parking spots, our OPAA! Food service provider hosting a cookout for our students, staff, and families, and a football team meal hosted by our community! A great night of welcoming everyone back to school, and one of my favorites watching our seniors and their families paint their parking spots together.
