The North Platte R-I School District has a mission of being dedicated to empowering all individuals to successfully meet tomorrow’s challenges. Our staff is committed to ensuring our students meet this goal by implementing innovative teaching and assessment strategies to help children reach the high standards set by our educational, co-curricular, and extra-curricular programs.
The North Platte R-I School District is primarily located in northern Platte County, while also containing a small section of the district in southeastern Buchanan County. The district is a consolidation of the Dearborn, Edgerton, and Camden Point School Districts, with the first graduating class of North Platte High School walking across the stage following the 1952-1953 school year.
The district is currently home to approximately 615 students in grades preK-12. It has a long history of academic success, with district accreditation and assessment scores consistently ranking among the best in the state. The district has three different campuses. The Elementary School (grades preK-2) is located in Camden Point, along with the Intermediate School (grades 3-5) in Edgerton and the Junior High/High School (grades 6-12) in Dearborn.
Please contact our district or school offices at 450-3511 if you have questions or concerns. An educational team of our staff, parents, students, and community collaborating together can help ensure the academic success of all of our students.
